We are excited to announce that Tennessee Nonprofit Network will hosts its 3rd Annual Advocacy Summit on Tuesday, February 24th, 2026 in Nashville, TN. This event will be held at the historic Scarritt Bennett Center.
This full-day event is designed to empower nonprofit professionals to engage in public policy and advocacy, build relationships with lawmakers, and make a lasting impact on the issues that matter to your organization and community.
Whether you’re new to advocacy or a seasoned pro, we have something for everyone. With sessions tailored to different experience levels, you’ll find workshops, discussions, and networking opportunities to help you navigate Tennessee’s legislative landscape.
You’ll hear from inspiring speakers and participate in breakout sessions that focus on preparing for meetings with legislators, discussing real-world advocacy strategies, and more. It’s an ideal chance to connect with like-minded professionals, gain new insights, and get ready for Nonprofit Day on the Hill the next day on Wednesday, February 25th at the State Capitol!
Call for Speakers:
Tennessee Nonprofit Network invites experienced speakers and facilitators to lead dynamic sessions at the 2026 Advocacy Summit on February 24th, 2025! We’re looking for dynamic, knowledgeable speakers who are passionate about public policy and nonprofit advocacy to lead engaging workshops, breakout sessions, and panel discussions. All presentations should be 1 hour and provide attendees with actionable insights and skills to aid in their advocacy work.
This is a fantastic opportunity to share your expertise with nonprofit professionals from across Tennessee who are eager to learn how to better advocate for their missions. We’re seeking speakers who can offer practical insights and strategies in areas such as:
- Building effective advocacy campaigns
- Navigating state and local legislative processes
- Crafting compelling messages for lawmakers
- Advancing specific issue areas like health, education, or human services
- Real-world examples of nonprofit advocacy success

What We’re Looking For in Presenters:
- Proven experience and understanding of their topic area.
- Interactive presentation style that embraces adult learning principles.
- Engaging facilitation style to create a memorable learning experience.
- Commitment to sharing diverse perspectives and inclusive ideas.
- Materials and resources that align with the summit’s focus areas.
- Supplementary activities, worksheets, or resources for continued learning.
- Presenters that can meet deadlines
Presentation Formats: Presenters will deliver in-person sessions in formats such as panel discussions, fireside chats, or interactive workshops.
Presenter Honorarium: A $250 stipend will be provided for selected presentations. (The stipend is per session and not per person. Co-presenters will still be paid a single $250 stipend.)
Submission Timeline:
Proposal Submissions: Opens Monday, October 6th and Closes Friday, November 15th
Review Period: Monday, November 17th – Friday, December 5th
Speaker Notifications: Monday, December 8th – Wednesday, December 10th
