Are you ready for the next step in your nonprofit career? Are you a nonprofit leader looking to nurture your organization’s emerging talent? Then read on…
Tennessee Nonprofit Network, in partnership with the Institute for Leadership Development (ILD) at Christian Brothers University (CBU), has established the LeadingUp Program. This year-long, cohort-based nonprofit leadership program is designed to hone the leadership and management acumen of emerging leaders in the Memphis nonprofit community. It’s been two years since our last LeadingUp cohort, but thanks to a generous gift from the Hyde Family Foundation, we are able to revive this program for a new cohort of up-and-comers.

Led by a team of CBU management, leadership, and business professors, the program combines cutting-edge theory with hands-on nonprofit management practice to sharpen the skills and capabilities of the next generation of nonprofit executives. The intensive program includes a full-day of face-to-face training per month plus assignments in between sessions to tie the material together. Graduate and undergraduate credit is available for successful completion of the program.
If you are interested in learning more about the program, please plan on attending the virtual information session on either July 14th or August 1st. We strongly recommend bringing your supervisor to the meeting.
Please note that this is an extremely competitive process and is limited to Memphis-area nonprofit staff only due to grant requirements. If you need more information in the meantime, please contact April Carter. (Not in Memphis but want to bring this award-winning program to your area? Let us know, and let your funders know!)
Register for the virtual July 14th information session at 2:00pm here and the August 1st information session at 9:00am here.
You can preview the application or apply here, but we highly encourage you to attend an information session before applying.
