Tennessee Nonprofit Network

Welcoming Tosha Price to Our Community Action Council!

We’re excited to shine a spotlight on another incredible individual joining our Community Action Council: Tosha Price! Tosha is a dedicated changemaker who will be a fantastic addition to Tennessee Nonprofit Network, and we can’t wait for our member organizations to get to know her better.

Tosha is the Business Development Manager at Ascend Federal Credit Union in Middle Tennessee. She brings a deep passion for financial empowerment and community engagement to her role, actively serving on several nonprofit boards and committees, and supporting local philanthropic efforts. As a working mom of two, Tosha expertly balances her professional life with her mission to uplift others through education, access, and impact-driven partnerships.

When asked about her motivation to join Tennessee Nonprofit Network, Tosha shared, “I joined TNN to connect with other changemakers across Tennessee and help amplify the voices of nonprofits doing vital work. I believe collaboration is key to lasting impact.”

For Tosha, “The nonprofit sector in Tennessee is the heartbeat of community care, where mission meets action. Nonprofits in Tennessee fill critical gaps and offer hope, dignity, and opportunity to people from all walks of life.”

During her time with Tennessee Nonprofit Network, Tosha hopes to champion inclusive partnerships between the private and nonprofit sectors and promote financial literacy across communities. This aligns perfectly with her passion for financial empowerment, especially for young people and underserved families, as she believes “Knowledge truly is power, and it opens doors for generations.”

Tosha is married with two children: a spirited 9-year-old and an adventurous toddler born in 2023, who “keep life full of joy and busy!” As Business Development Manager, she loves helping people access resources for strong financial futures and seeing communities thrive through strategic partnerships.

Tosha found “Atomic Habits” by James Clear to be a game-changer. She noted it “reframed how I approach self-care and personal growth, especially as a busy professional and parent.”

She appreciates the balance of small-town charm with growing innovation in her area of Tennessee, highlighting “a real sense of community, and people genuinely support one another.” Her all-time favorite movie is “The Pursuit of Happyness,” which she calls “a beautiful reminder of perseverance, faith, and the power of showing up even when the odds are against you.”

Her family loves exploring local parks and downtown Murfreesboro, especially the farmer’s market and small coffee shops. A surprising hidden talent or hobby of Tosha’s is her enjoyment in creating budget and wellness workshops for young adults, focusing on life skills like credit, debt, and financial independence.

If she could travel anywhere in the world, Italy would be her destination of choice, hoping to “soak in the history, culture, and amazing food with my family by my side for a once-in-a-lifetime memory.”

For those starting their career in the nonprofit sector, Tosha advises: “lead with purpose, listen deeply, and never underestimate the impact of small, consistent efforts.”

And for a fun fact, most people don’t know that Tosha also owns a mobile spray tan business and investment properties with her husband!

Please join us in warmly welcoming Tosha Price to our Community Action Council. We’re eager for her contributions and the collaborative spirit she brings to Tennessee Nonprofit Network!
