Tennessee Nonprofit Network, in partnership with Frist Foundation, is launching a six month-month Nonprofit Academy Learning Cohort based on our recently updated Nonprofit Academy curriculum. This collaborative program is designed to support 25 nonprofit leaders, specifically in the Nashville area, by strengthening their knowledge of nonprofit best practices. This cohort is great for middle managers, emerging leaders, seasoned CEOs, COOs, or anyone who wants a well-rounded understanding of nonprofit administration best practices. This opportunity is valued at $2500 per participant.
Program Components
The cohort includes several key components to help strengthen your organization’s capacity:
- Online Curriculum: Participants will complete a self-directed online curriculum. The modules provide an evidence-based understanding of nonprofit governance, including board responsibilities and best practices.
- Nonprofit Academy: Based on the nationally accredited Standards for Excellence® curriculum, Nonprofit Academy provides a structured approach to building capacity, accountability, and sustainability. It teaches best practices for nonprofit management, governance, and legal compliance.
- Downloadable Templates and Tools: You’ll be able to download toolkits, templates, and more as part of the curriculum such as a fundraising plan template, a board responsibilities packet, and a strategic planning template.
- Peer Learning: Tennessee Nonprofit Network facilitates virtual sessions to create a peer learning environment. This interactive approach allows leaders to share challenges, exchange solutions, and build a supportive professional network.

The ideal candidate is a nonprofit leader who:
