In partnership with the Frist Foundation, Tennessee Nonprofit Network (TNN) is proud to announce the 2nd annual CEO’s Guide to Board Governance for Davidson County nonprofits. This five (5) month cohort program is designed to support nonprofit equip executive directors and CEOs with the knowledge and tools to build strong, engaged boards that empower your organization’s mission. This specific cohort is open only to Davidson County nonprofits and is funded by Frist Foundation. This cohort will be facilitated by Nashville consultant Kristine LaLonde.

Nonprofits must be current members of the Tennessee Nonprofit Network to apply. This program is open to executive directors and CEOs of Davidson County nonprofits.

Applications for the cohort will be distributed Wednesday, October 1, 2025
Applications will be due no later than Wednesday, October 15, 2025
Accepted applicants will be notified no later than Friday, October 31, 2025
Capacity Assessments
Applicants will be required to complete the 501 Commons Five Elements of a Healthy Nonprofit Self-Assessment prior to the first in-person peer learning session. Once provided with written acceptance into B/G cohort, applicants will receive the capacity assessment via email.
Applicants will be asked to complete the assessment, along with recommended person(s), and email Kristine and Dorian a copy of their results no later than Thursday, November 6th, 2025 – the first in-person peer learning session.
Applicants will have the opportunity to schedule time to go over results, as well as request free Standards for Excellence Resource Packets and Templates.
Peer Learning Sessions
Peer learning sessions will take place in-person at the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee from 2:00PM-4:00PM. Dates to be announced.
