In the ever-evolving landscape of the nonprofit sector, opportunities to secure funding are critical for sustaining impactful programs and initiatives. Under the American Rescue Plan Act, Congress allocated $350 billion in Coronavirus State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds (CSLFRF) for state, local, Tribal, and territorial governments to use in providing “assistance to households, small businesses, and nonprofits …” Tennessee received $6B in funding through federal appropriations, with approximately $2.28B allocated for local governments across Tennessee (cities and counties). Our cities and counties have until December 31st, 2024 to determine how they are going to allocate those funds, and then have an additional two years to spend it. However, any unallocated and/or unspent funding will be returned.
Currently, Tennessee has not fully allocated all its CSLFRF funding and there are still funds available at the state and local levels, ready to be harnessed to strengthen our organizations and local communities. The law mandates charitable nonprofit are eligible for these funds but does not make nonprofits entitled to a share of the funds.
We at Tennessee Nonprofit Network are excited to bring your attention to an upcoming webinar hosted by the National Council of Nonprofits that could be the key to unlocking vital resources for your organization. This webinar aims to shed light on these opportunities, providing you with the insights and strategies needed to access these remaining COVID-relief funds and ensure charitable nonprofits have every advantage in securing investments of these funds in their programs.
Join us, and others across the country, on January 30th at 2:00pm Central / 3:00 p.m. Eastern for a transformative session titled “Accessing Remaining COVID-Relief Funds Before It Is Too Late” with Treasury Deputy Secretary Wally Adeyemo. He and other speakers will be leading a discussion on how nonprofits can access remaining Coronavirus State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds made possible through the American Rescue Plan Act.
Questions to Be Answered:
- How to find out what funds are still available.
- How to advocate for the funds (there usually is no a RFP or funding notice to apply for).
