Take a Pause and Let’s Find Some Joy Today

From the staff, Board of Directors, and Community Action Council of Tennessee Nonprofit Network

It’s been a tough few weeks in our country. We’re all feeling the tension in the air, the weight of the news, and the further division that recent events have caused across our country. In the nonprofit sector, we are on the front lines of these challenges, working tirelessly to serve our communities. We see the pain, the frustration, and the hardship up close.

But amidst all of this, our work is also a powerful reminder of hope. It’s in the small victories, the connections we forge, and the profound impact we make, one person at a time. This work is a choice to believe in a better future, and that belief requires us to find and hold onto joy, even when it feels difficult.

Joy isn’t about ignoring the pain; it’s about building the resilience to face it. It’s about remembering why we started this journey and replenishing our spirits so we can continue to serve with passion and purpose.

So, today, we invite you to take a moment for yourself. Step away from the screens and the headlines for just a few minutes, and watch something that makes you smile. We’ve compiled a short list of videos that are sure to lift your spirits.

A few happy videos to get you started:
