Tennessee Nonprofit Network announces that Andrea Hill, Chief External Affairs Officer, is stepping into an exciting new leadership role in Memphis. While her departure marks the end of an era for our staff and board, we are immensely grateful for her five years of dedicated service, visionary leadership, and unwavering commitment to strengthening Tennessee’s social sector.
Andrea joined the organization during a period of deep uncertainty—navigating the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. From day one, her steady presence and strategic mindset helped stabilize operations and support regional nonprofits through unprecedented challenges. As the organization evolved, Andrea was instrumental in leading our historic statewide expansion and rebranding to Tennessee Nonprofit Network, helping transform our scope to serve leaders across all 95 counties.
Most recently, Andrea coordinated and executed our comprehensive statewide communications plan. Through her leadership, Tennessee Nonprofit Network delivered accessible workshops, public relations support, and vital messaging resources to organizations of all sizes, elevating the voice and impact of nonprofits statewide.
Beyond her strategic achievements, Andrea’s defining quality has been the light she brings into every space she enters.

We could not be prouder of her as she takes this next step.”
Her unique ability to connect with people and foster community left a lasting impression on our governance and network alike.

Andrea brings a rich background of expertise and civic leadership to every endeavor. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Human Services Management from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and a Master of Public Administration from Kennesaw State University. Certified in Volunteer Administration (CVA) through the Council for Certification in Volunteer Administration, Andrea served as President of Directors of Volunteers In Agencies (DOVIA) from 2018 to 2020. She currently serves as an appointed member of the Volunteer Tennessee board and as a board member for the Association of Leaders in Volunteer Engagement.
Her dedication to community leadership has earned wide recognition. Andrea was named one of the Urban Elite Top 40 Under 40 professionals in 2017 and a Memphis Business Journal Top 40 Under 40 honoree in 2018. She received the National Urban League Young Professionals Inaugural Heroes in the Movement Award and was named the 2017 Junior League of Memphis Provisional of the Year. An alumna of Leadership Memphis and a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Andrea is also an active member of the Community Foundation of Greater Memphis GIVE 365 program and a proud supporter of WKNO.
While Andrea is moving on to her next professional chapter, we are thrilled that she will remain in Memphis and stay deeply connected to our work at Tennessee Nonprofit Network.
